The Digital Civic Inquiry curriculum was developed through a collaboration between the University of Maryland, College Park, the Close Up Foundation, and the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education. Our work is funded by the U.S. Department of Education American History and Civics National Activities Program (Grant Number S422B230033).
The lessons were designed in partnership with teachers and leaders in DC public and public charter schools. Units are aligned with the DC Social Studies Standards and feature local DC sources and activities. However, the lessons could be used by teachers anywhere with minor or no changes.
